Books and Journals
The Library has a wide range of titles covering all aspects of clinical and non-clinical services. Details of our collection can be accessed through the catalogue . If a journal article or book is not available, we may be able to obtain it from other libraries nationwide. Self service machines are available at both sites.
Community Postal Loan Service
The Community Postal Loan Service is available to all Trust staff working at community sites.
The service does not cover staff based at York or Scarborough, HYMS students or Admitted Readers.
Books loaned via the Community Postal Loan Service should be returned to the issuing library and a return address label will be enclosed with the book(s).
Please check the online library catalogue for stock availability and then request the item(s) needed using the online Community Postal Loan Request Form on the "Forms, Guides and Links" page of the Horizon Library pages.
Please note that only books from York and Scarborough Hospital Libraries can be requested, not YSJ or for reference only books.
Full-text journals, books and databases are available via NHS Evidence. A NHS OpenAthens account is required to access these and you can register at the same website.
Computers, printers, scanners and photocopiers are available at both Library sites and 24/7 pc access at the Library Annex
