Langlands Nurseries Ltd in Shiptonthorpe has donated a number of Christmas decorations and toys to the Children's Ward at York Hospital worth over £520.
Langlands had a number of Christmas decorations and toys left over after the Christmas period and decided they would like to support a local charity by donating these items.
Hattie Sparke, Human Resources and Marketing Assistant at Langlands said, "Langlands had some Christmas decorations and toys left over which would not fit into next year's Christmas plan so we decided that we would like to donate to a good cause. This is when we contacted York Hospital with the intention of giving the items to the Children's Ward."
Lucy Watson, Fundraising Manager at York Hospital said, "We would like to thank Langlands for such a generous donation to our Children's Ward and hospital. We are always so grateful for the support we receive as I know what a difference this makes. The Christmas decorations will be a great addition on the ward next Christmas and I am sure the children will really enjoy the toys"
