Caring for your Child

Caring for your Child

Hello and welcome to Child Health

York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust looks after the care and development of infants, children, and adolescents – from birth through to 18 years.

The team includes paediatric consultants, nurses and child development staff who provide a wide range of general and specialist child health services to babies, children and young people living in and around York, Scarborough, Bridlington, Malton, Whitby, Selby and Easingwold.

We have Children’s Wards and Special Care Baby Units (SCBU) at both York and Scarborough Hospitals and we also provide Outpatients and Therapy Services from York and Scarborough, as well as from our other Community Hospitals.

Our vision is to be recognised locally and nationally as delivering safe high quality services that meet the health needs of our children and young people whilst supporting parents and carers, through appropriately trained, motivated and skilled staff working in a suitable child friendly environment.
