The blood taking department at York Hospital is situated on the Ground Floor. To locate the department, enter the Hospital through the main entrance, turn left and then when you reach the Eden Mobility shop, you need to continue along the corridor on the left of the shop. The blood taking department is towards the end of this corridor.
Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:15 pm.

The busiest times in main blood taking are between 8.00am and 11.00am when waiting time will be longer than usual. The quieter times are between 11.00am and 3.00pm.
There is also a blood taking service at the ASDA supermarket at Monks Cross. This department is situated on the first floor near the lifts.
Please note, the service closes for 30 minutes from 1.00pm Monday-Thursday and from 12.00 on Friday.

You can have your blood taken at your doctor's surgery by appointment or in special circumstances a district nurse could visit you at home.
