The hospital is organised into 'directorates'. The clinical directorates cover our clinical areas such as the emergency department, wards, theatres and clinics. The non-medical directorates consist of the non-medical areas, for example finance and human resources.
Each of the clinical directorates is managed by a team - usually a consultant, a directorate manager, a matron and their support staff. Non-clinical directorates are led by executive directors. Every directorate has its own budget and reports to the Board of Directors.
