Staff Choir

York Hospital is proud to have its very own choir for staff members. Music teacher and choir master, Katie Fleming, leads the choir rehearsals in the chapel from 12.30pm – 1.30pm, every Thursday lunchtime.

The choir is free, don't worry if you haven't sung in a group before, there are no auditions and everyone is welcome. No note reading skills are necessary, just the desire to have a good go! Singing is long proven to improve mood and is a great aid to relieving stress. We have fun, first and foremost.

"What a lovely experience you are providing for a lots of otherwise stressed people on Thursday lunchtimes! I look forward to it all week"

If you're interested in attending, please contact Jess Sharp via email or by calling 01904 725265.

Sing as part of the choir at the NHS carol service in York Minster, Christmas 2016

Each year the Staff Choir joins other NHS choirs from across the region at the NHS carol service in York Minster.  Further details will be posted here nearer the time.

Christmas 2015

The Chapel opted for a more informal approach to their annual drop in carol service this year.  ‘More Christmas Tea Vicar’ brought together carols from Staff Choir with the voices of those at the service.
