The Falls Prevention Service accepts referrals from people who have had a fall or are at risk of falls, their families/carers, community nurses, general practitioners, hospital doctors/nurses, social services and residential home staff.
The service consists of a team Falls Practitioners. They are all qualified nurses who visit people in their own homes or in residential care homes. Falls Practitioners undertake a clinical assessment and physical examination to identify any physical, social or emotional problems which may affect an individuals mobility.
Access to the service is by self referral or family or care staff.

This service operates Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm (excluding public holidays).
Physical activity class for older people FREE of charge.
Designed to help with BALANCE,MOBILITY,STABILITY, and CONFIDENCE
Classes are held at various venues in the York and Selby area.
