Fast Response Team

There are now nine Fast Response Teams operating throughout North Yorkshire. These are community based services that will respond to urgent care needs.

A typical Fast Response Team consists of District Nurses, Community Nurses, Community Care Officers, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Generic and Health Care Support Workers.

Fast Response Teams prevent unnecessary admissions to hospitals and nursing homes for patients who, with their support, can be safely looked after at home.

Fast Response Teams also provide rapid intervention and care packages that will enable the patient to remain within their own home.

There are currently Fast Response Teams operating in Whitby, Scarborough, Malton, Harrogate, Ripon, Settle, Skipton, Northallerton, Selby and York.
