Specialist Children Services investigate, assess and provide co-ordinated treatment packages for children and young people with a focus, but not exclusively, on those with special needs.
The Team provides parents/carers, educational staff and others concerned in the care of children with special needs, with professional advice and support.
Our service covers secondary and specialist child health services to mainstream and special schools, and early years settings throughout North Yorkshire.
The Specialist Children Services Team is made up of :

Occupational Therapists
Speech and Language Therapists
Community Paediatricians
Specialist Community Nurses
We can offer assessment and treatment for children and young people with:
Developmental delay and co-ordination disorders
Neuro-disabilites and sensory impairment
Specific language impairment
Suspected and diagnosed hearing impairment
Social and communications disorders
Learning Disability
Long term conditions
