Visiting times at York Hospital have changed as part of a range of measures to alleviate peak time traffic queues leaving the site. On Monday 15 August 2011, the afternoon visiting period moved to an earlier time slot of 2:00pm to 3.30pm. The evening slot remains as 6.30pm to 8.00pm. Find out more about visiting here.

The York Teaching Hospital Charity has launched 'The Star Appeal' to raise £300,000 to refurbish York Hospital's Stroke Rehabilitation unit. The unit, located on ward 39 at York Hospital is desperately in need of modernisation / refurbishment to meet the specific needs of patients recovering from a stroke. The appeal is hoping to raise £300,000 to ensure these vital changes can be made for the benefit of our stroke patients. Read more...
