By foot from the main hospital site

With the multi-story on your left, follow the painted line on the floor past A and E. Continue through the archway in the brick wall, following the path past Park House on your right, and then past a small car park. Cross the access road and you’ll see the Chapel in front of you, across a small green.

By car, for users of disabled spaces

This route is represented by the blue line on the map.

Access is only from Clarence Street. Use postcode YO30 7BY. Once you’ve tuned off Clarence Street, follow the lane past the chapel on the left, and round the sharp left-hand bend. Disabled spaces are available in the small car park on your right, opposite the Chapel entrance. All other car users should use the main hospital car park.

The Old Chapel entrance is 40 metres from the blue badge parking spaces, via a flat path. 

Please note, the ground floor of the Old Chapel has narrow hallways and some tight turning points which may not be suitable for some larger chairs and mobility scooters. There is no lift to access the upper floors and the stairs are steep so may be difficult for people with reduced mobility. Please get in touch with our admin team if you have any access concerns and we will be happy to make accommodations, such as booking a ground floor room or a room in the main hospital.
