The Arts in York Hospital is delighted to announce the completion of the Hospital Stories booklet.

The booklet features a selection of stories, delving into the lives of members of staff from York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Staff were invited to share their memories with storyteller, Catherine Heinemeyer who edited them into stories.

The stories give an insight into what lies beneath the clinical faces that we see around the hospital and include anecdotes about how their lives have changed over the years, the pathways that brought them to working in healthcare and how the hospital has evolved during their time working here.

The project was funded as part of York Stories 2012, a community project aimed to encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to tell and share their stories which were personal and unique to the city of York.

York Stories 2012 was funded by the City of York Council. To find out more about other projects linked to York Stories 2012, please click here.

A burst water main is causing disruption to staff and patient journeys to Scarborough Hospital. Temporary roadworks are in place and may be there until Monday 26 June. Please be advised to leave plenty of extra time for your journey to the hospital.
