Safer Staffing Data

From April 2014 it became a national requirement for all hospitals to publish information about nurse staffing levels.

This is part of the response to the Francis report which called for greater openness and transparency in the NHS.

Patient safety is of the highest importance for our Trust and we regularly review our staffing numbers to ensure that our wards are safely staffed.

We will publish information about our staffing levels on a monthly basis. We will also provide links to Board of Directors’ papers relating to staffing numbers.

This information is also available on NHS Choices.

We are currently working with reduced staffing levels within the Contact Centre.  This may mean that some of our patients encounter extended wait times when calling the Contact Centre.  This is not the level of service we wish to offer our patients and we are working hard to improve the situation.  If you wish to request to reschedule or cancel your appointment, you can complete our online form
