Sing as part of the NHS Minster Carol Service

York Minster

7.30pm

York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust staff are warmly invited to join us for a very special NHS Minster Carol service, celebrating 70 years of the NHS. 

The service will take place at York Minster on Wednesday 5 December with an obligatory rehearsal on the day beginning at 1.45pm.

This year we're delighted to welcome the accompaniment of a Brass Quintet as well as the organ.


Rehearsals:

In order to prepare for the event we suggest everyone attend our scheduled rehearsals:

York:

  1. Thursday 15 November, 12.30pm – 1.30pm, York Hospital Chapel

  2. Monday 19 November, 8.00am – 9.00am, York Hospital Chapel

  3. Thursday 22 November, 12.30pm – 1.30pm, York Hospital Chapel

  4. Tuesday 27 November, 5.00pm – 6.00pm, York Hospital Chapel

  5. Thursday 29 November, 12.30pm – 1.30pm, York Hospital Chapel

  6. Tuesday 4 December, 8.00am – 9.00am, York Hospital Chapel

Final Rehearsal:

On the day everyone will be required to attend a rehearsal at York Minster starting at 1.45pm. 

If you cannot make this rehearsal then unfortunately you will be unable to participate on the night.


Additional important information:

  • You must bring your own copy of the '100 carols for choirs' book, available to purchase here.

  • You will need to download and print the preparation notes and sheet music for the additional carols which are not in the carol book.  To download this document, including the programme of events, please click here.

  • Dress code for choir members is black and white for ladies, men in dark suits and ties or black jumpers.

Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7.30pm start. We recommend friends and family arrive early to get a seat as staff from NHS Trusts across the region will be in attendance.
