The quality of our service and the safety of your child are our absolute priorities. If you have any concerns or questions whilst your child is in hospital please don't hesitate to speak to a member or ward staff, your consultant, or ask to speak to the Matron.

We aim to provide the best possible services for our children and families. Listening to your experiences helps us to improve our service which will benefit everyone in the future. We may ask you to complete a ‘Friends and Family’ form or complete a short questionnaire on your experience. However you may also just want to talk to a member of staff and we would be very happy to arrange this.

We would much prefer to resolve an issue locally and in the moment however if your concern has not be adequately addressed or you feel unable to speak to the ward staff directly you can contact our Patient Experience Team at pals@york.nhs.uk or by calling 01904 726262.

We have recently been chosen to take part in a Royal College safey initiative called S.A.F.E (Situation awareness for everyone). As part of this we are asking parents, if you see something say something.
