New look ad campaign to boost recruitment

A powerful new recruitment campaign launches this month aimed at helping the Trust stand out in the increasingly competitive healthcare labour market.

The Trust has been working with Jupiter, a firm of recruitment communication experts, to develop its recruitment brand.

This is an ambitious programme of work to reflect the reality of working at the Trust and uses cutting edge, highly-targeted advertising techniques.

Will Thornton, Senior HR Lead for Medical Staffing and Recruitment, explained: “The initial work has been to develop the brand with the help of a cross-section of almost 200 staff from across the Trust. They represented different staff groups and sites and took part in focus groups with Jupiter where they talked about the reality of working in the Trust.

“Themes emerged from the focus groups about how demanding people’s jobs were, but what came through most strongly was an unfailing commitment to patients and the strength of this common purpose.

“These themes led Jupiter to create two concepts with a strapline ‘People for Patients’, and we have now chosen one of these which we hope will make us stand out and attract the right people.”

The new advert will be used to recruit for a Consultant Intensivist/Anaesthetist at Scarborough Hospital and for a nursing recruitment drive running in August and September
