New for 2024 - join us on the ultimate 24-hour walking challenge, climbing over 3,000 meters up the highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales!

This fully guided challenge is an unforgettable experience, which will raise money to help f und the extras to improve your healthcare facilities, above and beyond the NHS , to make the hospital the best that it can be.

All transport is provided, so in between peaks all you have to do is sit back, rest up, and prepare for the next one!

What is the National Three Peaks?

The National Three Peaks challenge is climbing the three highest peaks in Scotland, England, and Wales in under 24 hours! Ben Nevis (1,345m) Scafell Pike (978m) Snowdon (1,085m) Total distance of 23 miles (37km) with an ascent of 3,064m (10,052ft)!

What does the registration fee include?

The £175 registration fee includes;

  • All transport during the challenge
  • Training walks leading up to the event provided by Overlimits
  • Access to team WhatsApp group Expert mountain walking guides
  • A free place on Yorkshire Three Peaks and other training walks throughout the year

What are the timings of the challenge?

The challenge will start on Friday 20 September and end Saturday 21 September 2024. Participants will be collected by minibus from a pre-agreed meeting point at around 6am on Friday 20 September (exact time and location TBC) and drop you back at around 10pm Saturday 21 September. 

All transport is provided in during the challenge, so in between peaks all you have to do is sit back, recuperate, and prepare for the next one!

Is transport or accommodation provided?

As this is a 24-hour challenge, accommodation will not be required. All transport will be provided. 

Is the Walk guided?

Yes, the walk is guided by expert mountain leaders and you will have full support throughout the challenge from event company Overlimits. We will provide you with a detailed itinerary and kit list upon sign up.

Is there an age limit for the walk?

We don't recommend anyone under the age of 18 take part in the walk.

How fit do I need to be to take on the walk?

All fitness levels are welcome; however you will be expected to train and prepare for the challenge. If you haven’t exercised for some time, you should seek your GP's advice before starting a new exercise regime. Full training programs and information will be communicated once participants have registered.

How many places are there on the challenge?

There are just 12 places on the National Three Peak challenge. While some walkers may be supporting different charities individually, everyone will be part of a cohesive group, collectively tackling the challenge together.

How can I collect money for the challenge?

When you regiser, a fundraising page will automatically be created for you to start fundraising right away! 

If you wanted to fundraise offline, we can provide sponsor forms for you. We can also supply you with collecting tins and personalised posters for those local shops and pubs to help you meet your fundraising target.

Can I decide which hospital my money goes towards?

Yes – simply let us know if you have a specific hospital, ward or department that you would like to support when registering.

What happens once I've registered?

Once you've registered, you will receive more details about the challenge. If you have opted in, you will be added to a team WhatsApp group.

A fundraising page will be created when you register, which means you can start your fundraising right away!

You will receive regular communication offering training advice and fundraising tips throughout the year.
