Babies remembrance service

Parents and relatives who have lost a baby are invited to join a special service of love, thanksgiving and remembrance this Mother’s Day (Sunday 31 March).

The service has been organised by York’s stillbirth and neonatal death charity, SANDS, and York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.  It will be held at York Hospital’s Chapel and starts at 10.30am.  The service is open to anyone affected by the loss of a baby, regardless of faith or belief, and is always well attended.

Leanne Covey, Bereavement Officer, York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust said:  “The memorial service is a valued opportunity for parents and relatives to pause and remember their little ones.  At whatever stage of grief people find themselves, it’s a way of marking a moment and renewing precious memories.”

If you would like to find out more about the service please contact York Hospital Bereavement Services on 01904 725392.
