Carers invited to attend training day at Scarborough Hopsital

Local people who care for family members at home are being invited to attend a training day at Scarborough Hospital on Tuesday 12 March.

The training course aims to support and educate people who care for their loved ones and will cover topics including, caring for a person affected by long term health changes, the impact on personal relationships, safe meals and manual handling.

The event will be facilitated by Trish Gerard, Work Based Learning Department Manager, and will include internal and external speakers.

“We are keen to develop relationships with our local carers and to provide support and education to help them in their invaluable role.”

The event is being held at Scarborough Hospital (Postgraduate Centre, Room S33) on Tuesday 12 March from 10.45am until 3pm – lunch will be provided.
