Lord Mayor takes tea at York Hospital

The Lord Mayor enjoyed tea and cakes at a recent visit to York Hospital where he attended a coffee morning arranged by the hospital’s fundraising team to support the Lord Mayor's charity.

The team raised over £200 towards the fund which will be shared between York Teaching Hospital Charity (YTHC) and York Against Cancer.

Funds raised from the Lord Mayor’s charity will go towards purchasing a machine to enable renal patients to manage their own dialysis treatment in a self-care unit and a new minibus for cancer patients who need to travel to Leeds for their treatment.
