New Chairs for Rehab Patients thanks to Friends

Bridlington Hospital League of Friends has provided Waters Ward with three new specialist chairs which will provide enhanced comfort and support for patients undergoing rehabilitation.

The three specialist chairs, which cost just over £5,000, were bought from independence Mobility based in Leeds.

The ‘Sorrento’ and ‘Phoenix’ chairs are designed to meet the holistic and clinical needs of patients by providing postural and pressure management, whilst maintaining functional requirements.

They will provide comfort and support to patients who may have broken their pelvis, hip or suffered a stroke.

Peter Bowker, Hospital Manager, said: “We are very grateful for the continued support of the Bridlington Hospital League of Friends. The chairs are a welcome addition to Waters Ward, providing enhanced comfort for our rehabilitation patients and their specialist needs.”
