New portable equipment for Bridlington Hospital thanks to Friends

On Wednesday 20 February, members of the Bridlington Hospital League of Friends paid a visit to the hospital to see the two new pieces of equipment which they have bought the hospital thanks to their fundraising efforts.

The Friends have recently purchased a portable bladder scanner, which cost £8,000, and a set of portable steps for the physio gym, costing £800 which are used by the Therapy Team to help rehabilitate patients following surgery or a stroke.

Margaret Peel from the League of Friends said: “We are looking forward to visiting the hospital to see the new equipment.

“I would like to thank everyone for supporting our fundraising events, through which we were able to raise the funds to purchase these two pieces of equipment which will benefit local patients.”

Hilary Woodward, Matron, said: “On behalf of the Trust I would like to thank the League of Friends for their continued support of Bridlington Hospital.”
