Society of Radiographers industrial action, 20 October 2014

As part of a coordinated campaign by all NHS trade unions members of The Society of Radiographers will take part in strike action on Monday 20 October from 09:00 until 13:00.

We recognise that staff have the right to voice their concerns in this way, and we have been working with our Radiography Department and staff to ensure we continue to provide safe care for our patients

We have taken steps to minimise the disruption. All of the Trust’s radiography departments will be staffed, however we will have significantly reduced numbers of radiographers on site on the day, and those that are working will only be carrying out urgent work.

Radiography staff will also be taking ‘action short of a strike’ from 13:00 on 20 October up to and including Friday 24 October, so whilst they will no longer only be carrying out urgent work, it is likely to mean delays during the course of the week.

We apologise to patients who may be inconvenienced by this, and also for any delays that may occur on the day and throughout the week. We ask patients and visitors to be patient with our staff who will be working hard to ensure services continue to run as smoothly as possible.
