Team organise pop up vintage tea party

The Community Stroke Discharge Team has organised a fundraising event today (Thursday 22 May)in aid of the York Teaching Hospital Charity.

Staff from the team have organised a pop up vintage tea party and they will also be taking an old fashioned tea trolley around the wards, serving up tea and cake.

The 'tea party' will take place in the Common Room, Postgraduate Centre, 5th Floor of York Hospital, between 10am and 2pm.

All money raised will go towards buying ipads and software to help with stroke rehabilitation.

The Community Stroke Discharge Team provides specialist early stage rehabilitation and discharge support for people who have had a stroke.

Launched in March, the specialist team provides support and rehabilitation to patients at York Hospital who have suffered a stroke, helping them to make the transition from hospital to home, sooner than usual.
