Trust holds innovative recruitment marketplace event

York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is holding a recruitment marketplace event, at Scarborough Hospital on Thursday 13 October 2016.
On the day, people will be able to find out more about the vacancies that the Trust is looking to fill across a variety of different departments - from nursing to domestic vacancies.
Nichola Greenwood, Nursing Workforce Projects Manager, explains:
“On the day, we will be recruiting to nursing vacancies in all of our clinical
services, including registered nurses and healthcare assistants. We are looking for both experienced and newly
qualified nurses, who share our organisational values, to join our team to help
us deliver exceptional care to our patients.
“Interested candidates will be able to speak to staff and we will have a mock ward side room, where the clinical skills team will be on hand to demonstrate resuscitation skills. On the day interviews will also take place for domestic assistants and facilities operatives - so people could come away from the event with a new job. For all other vacancies we will be able to advise on recruitment timescales.”
Will Thornton, Recruitment Manager, at York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, adds: “With 300 different job roles in the NHS, this event will give people the opportunity to find out about our range of nursing vacancies - as well as other job opportunities.
“Many of the hospitals departments will be taking part in the event, so that people interested in working for us can speak directly to staff who already work in those departments.”
The Trust is currently recruiting the following staff; information about these opportunities, which include part-time and full-time positions, will be available at the marketplace.
