UPDATE changes to outpatient appointments on Tuesday 16 May 2017

We have worked hard to restore our IT systems since the attack last Friday, and it is a significantly improved picture across our hospitals and community services.

All outpatient clinics at York Hospital, Scarborough Hospital, Malton Hospital, Bridlington Hospital and Selby Hospital are going ahead on Tuesday 16 May 2017, except for the following:

Scarborough Hospital

  • DEXA (bone scan)

The North Yorkshire Breast Screening Service is also suspended in Catterick, Helmsley, Pickering, Malton and Clarence Street, York.  Other breast appointments are unaffected.

Planned operations are also going ahead as scheduled; however a small number are being rescheduled at York Hospital due to operational pressures.  This is not as a direct result of the cyber attack.  We will ensure that we reschedule any cancelled appointments as soon as possible.

The situation will be reviewed daily and information will be shared regarding any cancellations to appointments and services later in the week.

There will continue to be some delays to our services as we recover from the effects of the cyber-attack.  We thank people for the patience and understanding they have demonstrated since Friday’s attack took place.
