York Hospital and LINk to host joint public meeting
York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, in partnership with York Local Involvement Network (LINk), has organised a public meeting to give people in York the opportunity to find out more about the planned acquisition of Scarborough and North East Yorkshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
At the meeting Patrick Crowley, Chief Executive of York Trust, and Mike Proctor, Chief Executive of Scarborough Trust, will explain the case for the acquisition and the benefits it will bring for York Hospital and its population.
There will also be a short presentation on how we are better integrating our community and hospital services.
Patrick Crowley said: "Work is progressing well, and as the acquisition date draws closer we welcome the opportunity to explain why we believe this will bring significant benefits to York as well as Scarborough. The meeting will also give people the opportunity to ask questions and share any concerns."
All are welcome to attend, and there is no need to book a place.
The meeting will take place on Monday 12 March 2012 from 6:30pm in the Postgraduate Lecture Theatre, 5th floor, York Hospital, Wigginton Road, YO31 8HE.
