York Open Day and AGM on Thursday 19 September

Members of the pubic will have the opportunity to learn more about York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and discover what goes on ‘behind the scenes’ at their local hospital via an Open Day on Thursday 19 September.

Visitors will be able to meet with staff from across the hospital and learn more about the role they play in helping patients on the road to recovery.

There will be many stalls to visit, each jam-packed with information on all aspects of the hospital and the services offered from physiotherapy, diabetes, ophthalmology, or neurology.

Find out about the cutting edge research and development that the Trust is involved in. Anyone interested in a career with the NHS can visit the recruitment stand to find out more about the roles available.

Visitors can also drop in for a tea and cake at the ‘More Tea Vicar’ session held in the Chapel.

The AGM will follow the Open Day 5.00pm-6.30pm

This is just one of a number of ‘Open Health’ events taking place across the region during 2013 which is aimed at giving people the opportunity to find out more about their local Trust.
