The Cancer Information and Support Service at Scarborough Hospital

IMG_3937.JPG

The Scarborough Cancer Information and Support Service re-opened in the Main Entrance of Scarborough Hospital during December 2015 (having moved from its hidden location next to the volunteers office).

You can find us just to the right of the main reception desk and opposite the RVS coffee shop.

The Service is open from 10am until 4pm Monday to Friday. We offer a listening ear, information resources and signposting opportunities to specialist agencies. All information resources are free of charge and cover a wide range of topics to help you deal with all aspects of dealing with a diagnosis, living with and beyond cancer.

Teresa and Sam are the Information and Support Service administrators and they are there to help and support you either in person or over the telephone. You can call them on 01723 3422606 during opening hours.

Each Friday, the centre holds a clinic to help people with welfare issues. This is available only by pre-arranged appointment - call us or pop in to arrange an appointment. You and your family can discuss financial or welfare concerns with our Citizens’ Advice Bureau adviser Tracy.

The Service is open from 10am until 4pm Monday to Friday
