Wellbeing Team Events

How to save the Staff Benefits and Wellbeing section to your home screen

iPad or iPhone

  1. Launch “Safari” app.
  2. Enter into the address field the URL of the website you want to create a shortcut to. Tap “Go.”
  3. Tap the icon featuring a right-pointing arrow coming out of a box along the top of the Safari window to open a drop-down menu.
  4. Tap “Add to Home Screen.” The Add to Home dialog box will appear, with the icon that will be used for this website on the left side of the dialog box.
  5. Enter the name for the shortcut using the on-screen keyboard and tap “Add.” Safari will close automatically and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPad’s desktop.

Android

  1. Launch “Chrome” app.
  2. Open this link.
  3. Tap the menu icon (3 dots in upper right-hand corner) and tap Add to homescreen.
  4. You’ll be able to enter a name for the shortcut and then Chrome will add it to your home screen.

The Wellbeing Team hold a variety of events throughout the year, helping to support and educate staff on a range of wellbeing topics. Staff Benefits work closely with The Wellbeing Team, helping support the events throughout the year. 

Below is a full list of Wellbeing events for 2023, exact site visits and times will be confirmed nearer the event.

Understandably, not everyone will be in a position to attend these events, so we've uploaded the support documents for you to download anytime/ anywhere you may need them. 

Know Your Numbers Week

The Teams will be at the following sites w/c 30th January 2023:
• Mon 30th Jan 2023 – Selby Hospital/Restaurant (11 to 1pm)
• Tues 31st Jan 2023 – Bridlington Hospital/Restaurant (11 to 1pm)
• Wed 1st Feb 2023 – Scarborough Hospital/Pat’s Place (10 to 2pm)
• Thurs 2nd Feb 2023 – York Hospital/Ellerby’s (10 to 2pm)
• Fri 3rd Feb 2023– Malton Hospital/Restaurant (11 to 1pm)

Pop down and pick up some information on blood pressure, BMI’s, weight management, Type 2 Diabetes and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle in 2023.

Time 2 Talk Week

The Teams will be at the following sites w/c 6th February 2023:
• Mon 6th Feb 2023 – Selby Hospital/Restaurant (11 to 1pm)
• Tues 7th Feb 2023 – Bridlington Hospital/Restaurant (11 to 1pm)
• Wed 8th Feb 2023 – Scarborough Hospital/Pat’s Place (10 to 2pm)
• Thurs 9th Feb 2023 – York Hospital/Ellerby’s (10 to 2pm)
• Fri 10th Feb 2023– Malton Hospital/Restaurant (11 to 1pm)

Pop down and pick up some information on managing stress, exploring your emotions, mental health signposting or join us Wednesday 8th Feb 2023 at 10am – 12pm for an online Time to Talk session on preventing and managing burnout – to join the session email staffsupport@york.nhs.uk to book a place.

Nutrition and Hydration Week 

Nutrition and Hydration week will be held between the 13th -17th March 2023. Further details and dates/ sites will be released nearer the event. 

On Your Feet/ Be Active Week 

On Your Feet/ Be Active week will be held between the 24th -28th April 2023. Further details and dates/ sites will be released nearer the event. 

Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health Awareness week will be held between the 8th -12th May 2023. Further details and dates/ sites will be released nearer the event. 

Menopause Awareness Week

Menopause Awareness week will be held between the 16th -20th October 2023. Further details and dates/ sites will be released nearer the event.
