Hello, we’re the Arts Team. We’d love to share with you the exciting things we do within our hospitals; from music and choirs to art sessions, exhibitions and specially commissioned artwork.

There’s lots of research behind arts in hospitals, showing its ability to reduce stress and depression, increase staff morale and even decrease a patient’s length of hospital stay. We work with all sorts of creative people to achieve these outcomes and take care of our community’s health and wellbeing.

Help us keep everyone safe this winter

We’re asking everyone to please help protect our patients, visitors and employees during the winter months.

If you’re feeling unwell, please don’t visit our hospitals - even for appointments or to see loved ones, unless it’s in exceptional circumstances such as end-of-life care or maternity.

Colds, flu, Covid and norovirus (sickness and diarrhoea) can spread easily and cause serious illness in vulnerable patients.

Please only come in once you’ve been free of symptoms for at least 48 hours.

When you do visit:

Wash your hands with soap and water when you arrive and before you leave the ward (hand sanitiser alone is not enough).
Please don’t sit on patients’ beds, or eat and drink at the bedside.
And if you’re asked to wear a mask, please do so.
