Children's Therapy Training

Supporting the Needs of Children and Young People with Speech language and communication difficulties, and Physical and Sensory difficulties

The Children's therapy team at York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of training courses.

We are proud to have a team of skilled and experienced therapists willing to share their expertise. Our aim is to support schools in meeting the needs of children and young people with speech, language and communication difficulties, and physical and sensory needs, and to support you in enabling them to reach their full potential.

Our courses are designed to suit practitioners from mainstream and special schools. The courses are based on evidence based practice and aim to provide a balance between theory and practical everyday strategies and approaches. All courses are written and delivered by specialist Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists who have a wealth of knowledge and experience of their specialist areas.

We would be delighted to work with schools to offer a bespoke package for staff meetings, inset days or twilights according to the individual school's priorities. Alternatively, many of the courses can be delivered as a whole school inset day/twilight.
