Annual event to learn more about your local hospital

Trust members and the public are invited to find out more about their local hospitals by attending the Annual Members’ Meeting (AMM), incorporating the Annual General Meeting (AGM), of York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs hospital services and out of hospital care in York and North Yorkshire.

The online meeting takes place on Thursday 26 October 2023, 12 noon - 1.30pm.

Mark Chamberlain, Interim Trust Chair, said: “We very much hope people can make time to join us for our virtual AGM and AMM.

“By holding the meeting online, we hope more people than ever can get involved.  You'll be able to find out more about the work of the Trust, our challenges, and achievements during 2022/23 including our annual report and accounts and hear about the Trust’s plans for the year ahead.  There will also be a chance to ask questions of the Trust’s leadership team.”

The AGM/AMM is open to all Trust’s members, staff, and the public.  The event offers everyone the opportunity to share their views with us and participate in learning more about the activities of the Trust.

The meeting can be joined from anywhere, on any device - PC, smartphone or tablet using a Chrome or Edge browser.

Questions can be put to the Trust Board either ahead of the meeting or people can ask questions live during the AGM/AMM in the Q&A section of the agenda.  If you would like to submit a question in advance please email cheryl.gaynor1@.nhs.uk

Attendees will not be required to pre-register their place.  Please go to Teams Meeting ID: 348 453 005 759 Teams Passcode: VkRAVi

Anyone unable to join the meeting will be able to hear a recording posted on the Trust website on the Annual Report page.  Copies of the Annual Report and Accounts will be available on the Trust website in due course.

Help us keep everyone safe this winter

We’re asking everyone to please help protect our patients, visitors and employees during the winter months.

If you’re feeling unwell, please don’t visit our hospitals - even for appointments or to see loved ones, unless it’s in exceptional circumstances such as end-of-life care or maternity.

Colds, flu, Covid and norovirus (sickness and diarrhoea) can spread easily and cause serious illness in vulnerable patients.

Please only come in once you’ve been free of symptoms for at least 48 hours.

When you do visit:

Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe this winter.
