Find out more about your local NHS at Trust annual meeting
03 September 2026
People across York, Scarborough and North Yorkshire are invited to hear more about their local NHS, the progress made over the past year and the priorities ahead at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s Annual Members’ Meeting.
The online event, which incorporates the Trust’s Annual General Meeting, takes place on Wednesday 23 September 2026, from 5.30pm to 6.30pm, and is open to everyone.
The meeting is an opportunity to hear directly from the Trust’s Board about the past year, learn more about the services it provides across its hospitals and communities, and hear about the challenges and opportunities ahead.
There will also be an opportunity to put questions directly to members of the Trust Board, either in advance or during a live question and answer session.
Martin Barkley, Chair of York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: "Our Annual Members’ Meeting is an important opportunity to reflect on the past year, but also to look ahead and talk openly about the challenges and opportunities facing our Trust and raise questions or concerns with me and other members of the Trust Board.
"Our hospitals and services belong to the communities we serve, so I would encourage anyone with an interest in their local NHS to join us. Whether you want to hear more about what we have achieved, understand our priorities for the year ahead or ask us a question, you will be very welcome."
The meeting can be joined from anywhere using a PC, smartphone or tablet through Microsoft Teams, and there is no need to register in advance. The link to join the meeting will be available on the Annual Report and Accounts section of the Trust website nearer the time.
Anyone who would like to submit a question for the Trust Board in advance can email cheryl.gaynor1@nhs.net. Questions can also be submitted live during the meeting.
For anyone unable to attend, a recording will be made available afterwards on the Annual Report and Accounts section of the Trust website. The Trust’s Annual Report and Accounts will also be available on the website.
