Becky, an experienced deputy sister on the special care baby unit (SCBU), chairs the local SCBU parent support group, which provides practical and emotional support to families of newborns needing medical care. Over the past year, Becky researched additional support sources for families facing financial pressures, creating accessible leaflets and a clear poster to guide families to potential benefits.
Becky also secured funding to assist with travel and living costs, benefiting many families. She took the initiative to create and print engaging resources while collaborating with the Trust’s finance department. This crucial work has significantly alleviated financial hardships for numerous families.
