Our services

General surgery

We provide elective and emergency services for General Surgery at York and Scarborough Hospitals, as well as Vascular surgery and Urology and work in main theatres, day theatres and outpatients.

There are four subspecialties in General Surgery. These are Vascular Surgery, Breast Surgery, Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery and Colorectal Surgery. Urology comprises several special interest areas, including stone disease, female incontinence, uro-oncology, andrology and benign prostatic disease

Coronavirus - useful information

From Monday 15 June 2020, visitors and outpatients coming into our hospitals will be asked to wear a face covering at all times, to help us reduce the spread of Covid-19.  A face covering can be as simple as a scarf or bandana that ties behind the head.  It should cover your mouth and nose while allowing you to breathe comfortably.  For more information click here.
