Enhanced Recovery

Before your surgery even takes place, we help to ensure you achieve a speedy recovery. We work with you to make sure you are well, offer you nutritional support, enriched dietary supplements and an exercise programme for you to follow, both before and after your surgery.

The Enhanced Recovery programme works to reduce bleeding during your operation and to reduce pain after your surgery. You are given safe, effective pain relief that has minimal side effects. This allows you to get mobile as soon as possible afterwards, so that you won’t need to stay in hospital as long.

Most people go home between 1-4 days after their surgery, although some people may take longer to recuperate.

Your treatment and how long you need to stay in hospital will be tailored to your needs by the doctors, nurses and therapy staff.
