Hi

I talked at the Insulin Pump Users group meeting last year about running marathons with my insulin pump and promised to update when I'd completed my next challenge, the 40 Mile River Ayr Way ultra-marathon in Scotland.

I managed to complete the ultra-marathon in 9 hours 3 mins with BG levels between 6 - 9 mmol the whole race. More details in my blog post: http://www.craigwaugh.co.uk/river-ayr-way-40-mile-ultra-marathon-type-1-diabetes/

All the best

Craig

Hi Vijay - Yes, that's absolutely fine. Also don't mind chatting to any sporty youngsters / their families impacted by diagnosis if you think it would help. Keen on promoting what we can do despite some of the extra challenges diabetes presents.

Cheers

Craig
