Medical elective services

The Medical Elective Service provides an outpatient service to patients requiring a variety of treatments including:

Blood transfusions, platelet transfusions
Venesections
All intravenous therapies: including :antibiotics, immunoglobulins, cytotoxics, bisphosphonates, biological therapy, steroids and iron.

Appointments are given once a referral has been received from your referring consultant, depending on the urgency, it should be between 2-8 weeks.

The Medical Elective Service department is open Monday to Friday 7:00am to 8:00pm and Saturday 7:00am to 3:00pm.
