The Enhanced Recovery programme works to reduce bleeding during your operation and to reduce pain after your surgery. You are given safe, effective pain relief that has minimal side effects. This allows you to get mobile as soon as possible afterwards, so that you won’t need to stay in hospital as long.

Most people go home between 1-4 days after their surgery, although some people may take longer to recuperate.
