At Scarborough Hospital we have a very active, comprehensive, Respiratory inpatient and outpatient service with a friendly and high quality Respiratory Team.

• Acute Inpatient NIV Service with ITU support
• Comprehensive outpatient clinic support
• Specialist Respiratory Nursing Team Monday-Friday
• Specialist Lung Cancer Nurse
• Full diagnostic facilities including bronchoscopy, CT, MRI
• Pulmonary Function Lab (Cardio-respiratory Department)
• Oncology and onsite chemotherapy
• Fortnightly Cardiothoracic Surgical OP
• Close links with Hull Cancer Centre
• Excellent Palliative Care input

Referrals

Referrals are taken via health care professionals in the community or hospital settings. Outpatient Clinics are held in Scarborough, Bridlington and Malton.

Referrals for Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Smoking Cessation and Home Oxygen can be made to the relevant Community teams:

We are aware of a fire within the grounds of Malton Hospital.

All patients and colleagues have been safely evacuated, and there are no reports of any injuries.

We are working closely with North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and other partner agencies to monitor the situation.
