Leighton was nominated by a patient for the outstanding professionalism, empathy, and care he showed to a patient experiencing an ectopic pregnancy.

The patient said: “After a distressing past experience, I was anxious when facing another ectopic pregnancy. Mr Walker was calm, compassionate, and explained everything clearly, taking time to answer all my questions.
