We are continually striving to develop our services for people with diabetes here at York and would like to hear your views. I would really appreciate hearing from anyone willing to be a patient representative, this would include attending occasional meetings, be included in discussions and decisions to improve the service from a patient perspective. Help us keep everyone safe this winter

We’re asking everyone to please help protect our patients, visitors and employees during the winter months.

If you’re feeling unwell, please don’t visit our hospitals - even for appointments or to see loved ones, unless it’s in exceptional circumstances such as end-of-life care or maternity.

Colds, flu, Covid and norovirus (sickness and diarrhoea) can spread easily and cause serious illness in vulnerable patients.

Please only come in once you’ve been free of symptoms for at least 48 hours.

When you do visit:

Wash your hands with soap and water when you arrive and before you leave the ward (hand sanitiser alone is not enough).
Please don’t sit on patients’ beds, or eat and drink at the bedside.
And if you’re asked to wear a mask, please do so.
