Emergency Department improvement project, York Hospital

We are currently making improvements to the Emergency Department (ED) at York Hospital.

Commencing next week and throughout September, works will take place to install a new reception desk in the department.

During this time the current reception desk will be hoarded off, with temporary reception desks installed either side of the waiting area.

As this change will temporarily reduce the waiting space in the emergency department we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we work to make essential improvements to our facilities.

During the works, the entrance into ED will have directional signage in place to support patients accessing the department.
