I attended the 2014 sports weekend this year and can thoroughly recommend it. The price is heavily subsidised and the quality of speakers, health care professionals and interactions with other type 1 diabetics is fantastic. The accomodation and food was also great quality.

This year we split into (self rated) ability groups with people of all shapes, sizes and ability levels getting something out of it. As I've already attended this year I think I'm only able to go on the reserve list or I'd probably do it again.

I went a couple of years ago, whilst on MDI, and it was superb. As Craig says, heavily subsidised with food and accommodation included (both were very good). Speakers were fantastic and it's a fantastic opportunity to meet others in a similar situation.
I may apply again, I think I would get more out of it now being on pump therapy. I did apply last year but priority is given to first timers.
Chris
