We asked you if you knew:

At the time of the screening appointment we asked you if:


the location was convenient


you were seen within an acceptable time


you were informed of any delays


the vision test was explained in a way in which you understood


you had confidence and trust in the person carrying out the vision test


the clinic room was clean and tidy


you were treated with dignity and respect


you were told when you would find out about the test results


you were told how you would find out about the test results


After the screening appointment we asked you if you:


had confidence in the person taking the photographs


received the results in a reasonable time


fully understood the results


knew who to contact with any questions


were happy with the screening experience


would recommend to friends and family with diabetes


You also told us that you:

  • work full time and the administration team were helpful finding a suitable appointment”

  • “forgot the appointment but was fitted in later in the day”

  • “dread coming because the drops sting”

  • “would like appointments outside of school hours”

  • “had confidence in the technician’”

  • “understood the results letter”

  • “had to research what retinopathy was as there is no explanation in the letter”

Patients Know Best
