New electronic patient record (EPR)

The Trust is embarking on a significant digital transformation programme to introduce a new electronic patient record (EPR) system across the whole organisation.

The new system, called Nervecentre EPR, consists of a suite of applications that are instantly accessible from wherever you are. The new EPR is expected to be fully functional across the Trust by 2026.

From 7 May 2026, the electronic Discharge Notification (eDN) you receive from the Trust will look different as we go live with the Nervecentre EPR.

While the clinical content and key information you rely on will remain the same, the layout and formatting will change to reflect the new system. We have produced a comparison sheet that highlights the differences side by side, including examples of how the discharge note currently appears from CPD and how it will look once we are live on Nervecentre. This is intended to help you quickly familiarise yourself with the new format and provide reassurance ahead of go-live.

The examples given are dummy data and not real details.
