Physiotherapy for the limb amputation service

The physiotherapy team are based in York Hospital, working as part of the specialist Vascular Team and work closely with Occupational Therapists.

They provide pre-operative assessment of those facing prospective major limb amputation, inpatient rehabilitation, management and treatment of allpatients following acute amputation, support to colleagues in managing inpatients with a previous amputation, and discharge planning.

Additionally we provide regular outpatient rehabilitation and follow-up treatment to prospective prosthetic limb users, outpatient reviews of previous prosthesis users, and domiciliary visits.

Annual General Meeting and Annual Members Meeting

Trust members and the public are invited to find out more about their local hospitals by attending the Annual Members’ Meeting (AMM), incorporating the Annual General Meeting (AGM), of York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs hospital services and out of hospital care in York and North Yorkshire.
