Scarborough Hospital Maternity Services
Scarborough Hospital provides antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal inpatient care.
The Labour Ward at Scarborough Hospital has five delivery rooms, one with a birthing pool, a four-bedded assessment area and maternity theatre. It is located adjacent to Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU).
Scarborough Hospital also has a Midwifery-Led Unit which has three birthing suites, two with pools and is suitable for low risk women who want minimal intervention and plan an early discharge home.
Hawthorn Ward caters for all women who require an inpatient stay in the ante and post natal periods.
Our virtual tours will enable you to take a look at our maternity facilities at Scarborough Hospital.
Up to two visitors only are allowed at each bedside at any time.
Husbands and partners may visit between 9am to 9pm. Visiting times for all other visitors are 2.30pm to 4pm and 6.30pm to 8.30pm .
You do not need to stay for the full time - often staying for short periods is better for patients who need rest
