Subsidised Theatre Tickets

You must read all the terms and conditions stated below for applying. Complete this form only once, multiple entries will result in removal from the draw. Application form can be found under the the terms and conditions below. 

Venue update: We are excited to announce we now have tickets for Grand Opera House on offer! If you have already completed the form but would like to add GOH to your choices, please reapply a second time so we can update our records.

Terms and conditions

To enter the draw for subsidised panto tickets, applicants must:

  • Currently be employed by York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust or YTHFM.
  • Have a valid NHS email (ending in @nhs.net). Please note, use of another person’s NHS email or your personal email will result in removal from the draw. If you do not hold an NHS email, please contact your manager or IT to obtain one.
  • Have a valid/ in date York and Scarborough Trust NHS ID badge. Smart cards or other ID’s will not be accepted as proof of employment.
  • Only enter the draw once, multiple entries will result in removal from the draw.

About the draw: 

  • We have a limited number of tickets available, which will be allocated by Staff Benefits using a random selection process.
  • Tickets will be offered in packs of 2 or 4. If you require more than this amount, you will need to purchase them separately from the venue at full price.
  • On the application, please state your first and second venue choices. If successful, please note your first choice of venue cannot be guaranteed so we may offer your second choice.
  • Applications to enter will be open between 13th October – 3rd November 2025.
  • Successful applicants will be notified between 5th -7th November 2025 via email (remember to check your emails in this time period).
  • Due to the high volume of applications, only successful applicants will be notified. If you do not receive an email, please take this as notice you were not successful on this occasion.
  • Successful applicants will only receive tickets for one show at one venue, applicants cannot enter for multiple shows/ venues.

Claiming tickets for successful applicants: 

  • Winners will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to pay for their tickets with their allocated venue.
  • Only the named winner can pay/ collect the tickets from the venue.
  • Winners cannot swap tickets to another venue.
  • The outstanding amount for the tickets must be paid for by 19th November 2026. After this date, any unclaimed tickets will be automatically entered into a re-draw and you will lose your claim on them.
  • If you can no longer make the panto, and have yet to pay for your tickets, please let us know so we can offer them to another member of staff. If you have already paid for your tickets, we cannot offer a refund or put them in a redraw.
  • Show dates will be booked on a first come, first served basis, and will depend on availability at the time of paying the remaining amount owed to the venue.
  • Tickets cannot be sold on at full price.

If unwanted tickets become available:

  • Everyone who is unsuccessful in receiving tickets may be re-entered into a potential re-draw on the occasion tickets become available (new entries will not be accepted into this draw).
  • Anyone successful in winning a re-draw will be contacted by Staff Benefits via phone to confirm if tickets are still wanted.

How to save the Staff Benefits and Wellbeing section to your home screen

iPad or iPhone

  1. Launch “Safari” app.
  2. Enter into the address field the URL of the website you want to create a shortcut to. Tap “Go.”
  3. Tap the icon featuring a right-pointing arrow coming out of a box along the top of the Safari window to open a drop-down menu.
  4. Tap “Add to Home Screen.” The Add to Home dialog box will appear, with the icon that will be used for this website on the left side of the dialog box.
  5. Enter the name for the shortcut using the on-screen keyboard and tap “Add.” Safari will close automatically and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPad’s desktop.

Android

  1. Launch “Chrome” app.
  2. Open this link.
  3. Tap the menu icon (3 dots in upper right-hand corner) and tap Add to homescreen.
  4. You’ll be able to enter a name for the shortcut and then Chrome will add it to your home screen.
